Smithereen was one of the first fediverse projects to implement reply fetching, if not *the* first one, but so far it has only happened when you loaded a post using the search. Now remote comments are also re-fetched when you open a post.

@grishka@mastodon.social reply fetching is slow and inefficient. Have you considered using
