@raffomania I just installed it on my home server and had two small hurdles when setting it up:
1. I didn't get BASE_URL right on the first try. I was thrown off by the comment in the docker compose config and thought that it just needed to be the domain name. Adding an example can't hurt.
2. It seemed there is no proper way to set the admin password, but I'm now thinking that I could just run it with the plaintext only on the first run and remove it from the config later.

@tris It's probably closer to a federated version of linkwarden. There's no voting feature, for example. The upcoming invite tree is similar to lobsters, though.

@raffomania Oh, exactly what I was looking for! I'm in a few groups where we regularly share links for discussion, and I've always wished there were a better way to organize them. One idea was to keep everything in a wiki, but I think that would become unmanageable over time

@jaror Thanks for the feedback! I've added more explanations and examples to the docker-compose file. Would you prefer (re-)setting the admin password via the web UI? Or support for a secret file?

@jaror The federation is currently limited to publishing your bookmarks on other platforms. It's tested against mastodon and betula, but should be compatible with others.
I'm currently working on collaborative bookmarking across federated ties instances, and if everything goes well, it should ship in the next months.
