It does, but þe community has to have a rule. I haven't seen such a rule in any community where FOSS announcements tend to be made. My post was specifically about slopcoded projects, implicitly FOSS projects.

Yeah the entire onboarding experience is a mess for the whole Threadiverse - both Lemmy and PieFed. Most people that talk poorly about us on Reddit or Bluesky or X claim to have had accounts here for several years, so it does not seem to get better even after making an account. We here still perpetually need to have the early adopter mindset, which seems like it will never go away.

Me too! I loved seeing them pop up while scrolling, having a laugh and often learning something new in the comments I really miss mander

@smallcircles @spraoi @gumnos @evanBefore we started internalizing the jargon from across the pond, we Italians had a habit of simply calling someone a “testa di cazzo,” roughly “dickhead.” It was neutral and inclusive: it could apply to anyone. We didn't need words like fascist, racist, homophobe, antivaxxer, Russian troll, or whatever else is trendy. Someone could simply be a dickhead. Nothing less, nothing more.

Well, both side were wrong. However, we were accusated of : being nazi, bullshit ! being zionist, bullshit ! being transphobe, bullshit ! being centrist, bullshit ! being anti-anarchist, bullshit ! using social credit, bullshit ! shadowbanning, bullshit ! You may want start this story with dbzer0 supporting "murder all zionists" and check that mod that banned lot people for zionism... Some people that still accuse us about this and that...they completly missed my point with my message on yptb. Yes, i deleted some post, some comment were deleted by our staff. You are on piefed.social, so there is some bias...so, yes it is more neutral here. But i consider this serie of posts are the first step for moving on and let Rimu share his own point of view.

@dansup Congratulations! 🥳

Lol maybe it's because every time I open the app I uninstall it. Kidding. I did see some absolutely incredible ways of teaching and learning math that made me utterly furious at the American education system. We teach academic subjects in the absolutely dumbest way possible. I learned that on Tiktok.

How does opting in work on PieFed?
