way to fix the size discrepancy between m.s. and the rest is to make the rest more attractive and distinct imo, and focusing on the promotion of m.s. feels like it detracts from deeper problems

i dont think having m.s. as the default matters at all tbh

mastodon should keep mastodon.social as the default on joinmastodon.org and their apps, as it is an amazing strategy to maximise engagement on the fediverse
