Has anyone heard of SSH public key authentication failing despite using the correct keys & public key authentication being fully set up on the server?
Senza categoria@jackemled@furry.engineer this can happen if any SSH config/keys file (including the directories containing that file!) has the permission bits set wrong. The private key will be correct, but SSH server won't accept it because it doesn't trust the public key on its own end.
