Pregnant women who develop COVID-19 after vaccination are much less likely to be hospitalised, need intensive care, or deliver early.

A Canadian study of nearly 20,000 pregnant women found vaccination cut hospitalisation risk by 62% and critical care risk by 90% compared with unvaccinated women.

UK: Some schools disrupted amid rise in flu cases

Some schools are reintroducing COVID-like measures due to higher illness rates than last year.

In late November, 107 school incidents in education settings were reported: 17 influenza, 2 COVID, and 76 where the exact respiratory virus wasn’t known.

Spain may bring back indoor face mask rules as flu and COVID cases surge. Health leaders will meet on December 3 to decide whether masks should again be required in hospitals, health centers, and possibly other crowded indoor venues like cinemas or theatres to help reduce transmission.
