@sorenpeter Thanks. That design pattern is the sort of thing I'd like but I don't see how to make blogcat import my following CSV (but I could convert it to OPML with some work and stick .rss on the profile links), nor how to reload feeds when I ask

@mjr @sorenpeter as for reloading feeds, on each feed settings you can select the fetch interval. It does not fetch in the background that frequency means “not more often than..”
The default setting is daily.
It fetches feeds when you open the reader view according to the frequency set for each of them. So if you open the view three times today but the feed is set to daily, it won’t refresh after the first time until you try tomorrow. -

@soapdog I allow scripts, then click "Documentation & Screenshots" and get some text with a link to a getting started guide. It says a bit below "Check out the documentation for in-deep guides on how to use it" but that isn't a link and I don't know where to find it. I'll dig around on github when I find time.

@soapdog hah! Thanks. I didn't notice that light green on lighter-green thing down there. Can I suggest increasing the contrast and moving it to the top left corner where hamburger menus more often live?
@mjr it is the default theme from the tool I used to make the docs (docsify), not sure how much in control of that CSS I can be.

I am running GoToSocial instead of Mastodon so my CSVs are not exactly the same. -

For each account, one needs to do a WebFinger request to find the HTML page for the account. Then needs to fetch that HTML page and look for a `<link>` with an RSS feed inside.
It is very slow, but it seems to be working so far...

@liaizon @mjr @sorenpeter Mastodon CSV import been implemented and a new version of BlogCat been sent to Mozilla.
It should auto update there eventually but you can also just go to your add-ons page and click update.

It is very slow, but it seems to be working so far...@soapdog @mjr @sorenpeter well first you could sort them by whether they are mastodon or not based on a what their nodeinfo says and if they are mastodon then the path is all the same /@username.rss
Maybe thats not easier tho?
