trying to look at all the files on the original matrix dvd and it has this weird bug where the last file in a directory is repeated endlessly? not sure if this is a linux bug or some weird early DVD-ROM issue or what

@eblu does it do that in the terminal too (e.g. with ls)

@hexaheximal I assume so, ls just hangs. does this on the disc image I made of it too

I have never heard of a filesystem that cursed before

@hexaheximal I'm assuming that the dvd might be slightly too beat up but everything else seems to be fine?

I can confirm:

• that this does not happen under windows
• I'm not sure which one it was but either leaving the filesystem mounted or leaving it open in dolphin causes a memory leak and eventually freezes the system

hey #linux developers who know more than I do, if you have a DVD of The Matrix from 2000-2001 and a DVD-ROM drive (I'm using the north american widescreen version), maybe look into this because this is a very weird bug
