Following on that. I tested https://bandwagon.fm/ which seemed very close to what I had in mind for a Bandcamp but on the fediverse. The interface is nice, and the general feeling is good, I looove the custom CSS field, I also can subscribe from and to mastodon, from and to bandwagon. Unfortunately, nothing appears in my mastodon timeline when I am a follower, no track, no album. I wonder if it due to my instance @benpate
I also quickly tested Funkwhale https://www.funkwhale.audio/ as lots of comments mentioned that one too, but both the website (broken?) and the app are hard to decipher. Is that an app for musicians, for hosting personal music libraries, or both? I guess it depends on pods, but I find this confusing enough to stop artists in the account creation process. I may continue posting on that topic. Tell me what you think, especially if you use those apps.

@raphael @benpate One of the problems with fedi is that profiles and feeds may appear completely empty if they haven’t previously federated with your server. It’s been raised as a ticket to resolve, but idk if a fix is in the works.

Yes. This is it, exactly. It’s a mastodon issue that’s out of our control. But, now that you’re following your Bandwagon profile, try creating one more thing — like an event or a note — and it should show up in Mastodon right away
