Most fruits and vegetables can be fermented into alcohol, right?
Grapes = Wine.
Potato = Vodka.
Wheat = Beer.
Apricot stones = Amaretto.
etc etc.

But are there things which *can't* be turned into alcohol?

I've never seen tomato wine. Or onion schnapps.

You have opened a very nice thread. And just few toot later I found a new term in the logic chain you proposed.

vegetable -> alcohol ok
alcohol -> gasoline ? Why not?
