The hospital ship ""Jutlandia"" (8,500 gross tons) one of Denmark's contributions to United Nations aid in Korea. It took the shipyards several months to turn the former transatlantic liner into a modern, floating hospital. The cargo holds were turned into hospital wards with a total capacity of 200 patients; with additional emergency berths, the ship can take up to 400 in-patients. Three main clinics were installed with two full operating theatres. There is also a dental clinic, X-ray laboratory, dispensaries, library, etc. The total medical and nursing staff is 100, and a crew of 160 keeps the ship going.
