NEW: The FTC denied a request from serial spyware maker Scott Zuckerman to be unbanned from the surveillance industry.
Zuckerman used to run the stalkerware app SpyFone, which in 2018 exposed extremely sensitive data of both its customers and the people they were spying on.
That leak, which exposed selfies, text messages, chat app messages, audio recordings, contacts, location, hashed passwords and logins, and more, was the reason for the FTC ban.
