Il fatto è che non facendolo di professione non ho tutto il tempo del mondo per starci dietro, mettendoci sopra family, lavoro, e altri hobbies tipo giardino, fotografia ecc 😅

Se hai intenzione di ripartire da zero, dai un occhiata a Proxmox. E' un hypervisor che ti permette di creare LXC (containers) e VM in ambienti separati e indipendenti l'uno dagli altri. Da quando l'ho scoperto.. non tornerei mai più su OS tradizionali per il self hosting. Quello che vedi è il pannello di controllo e sulla sinistra ci sono tutte le LXC che ospito, alcune pubbliche alcune in locale. Ma la lista è molto più lunga 😆

E' un campo in cui non so praticamente nulla. Devo iniziare per gradi, dalle cose più semplici. Tipo hostarmi uno spazio dove caricare qualche file, le foto, forse bitwarden. Ma non so nulla di proxmox e docker.... quindi parto proprio da zero. Se avete guide molto, molto basic sono tutto orecchie !

That way (on top of debian) is also a workaround in order to install Proxmox on VPS which natively do not offer Proxmox as OS image. Same thing for PBS (Proxmox backup server) 😉

The preferred way to install it is as a Debian image although you can install on top of an editing Debian or Ubuntu etc. Someone here suggested that's a good way to open a lot of doors and I can see why, but have yet to do anything with it yet.
