@MichalBryxi but you still download the archive/export from time to time manually?

@hoffmann It moves the activity *history* export from Strava. It doesn't handle any automatic sync.

You have to do the Strava history export manually. Export the ZIP and put the "activities" into the tool (the wizard tries to guide you).

Seems like my wording there has misled you into thinking it does the sync for you in the background? Can I change something to make it more clear?

@MichalBryxi no all good. I just hoped that you found an automatic way.

@hoffmann #Strava recently put out a big announcement about people mis-using their API and their aim to fight them. So that felt like a bit futile thing to try now.

For me, personally, I'm now publishing all activities to #Komoot and hoping that #FitPub will eventually implement an automatic polling option.

If not, then I'm creating a cron script that will take it directly from my #Coros account.

No, but seriously: What is the alternative? The goal is to have the data publicly available to have a social / share space for all activity types.

That’s why I’m happy with #FitPub emerging. But until it has connector to #Coros, I’m stuck with some middle-men. No, not ever going to do that manually.

@MichalBryxi Sure, where can I open a ticket? I couldn't see anything relating to Strava or FitPub in your GitHub repositories.

@MichalBryxi Nice tool! I'd like to better understand the problems you're experiencing when importing #Strava exports directly into #FitPub. I imported my own Strava export without any issues.

> Supported formats: .fit, .gpx, .tcx

So I wonder if there is still a need for it? I'm quite sure the individual formats will have their own specifics that won't be transferable. So it will be essentially a lossy conversion. On the other hand - simple feature, quick implementation, so we can try.
