<![CDATA[Contrary to what some people say, #HolosDiscover is not a scraper.]]>Contrary to what some people say, is not a scraper. It speaks , and every deleted or edited post is immediately updated in the database.

It relies on the indexable flag, with stricter rules: accounts with or in their profile, and locked accounts, are excluded. Only public posts are indexed.

I recently fixed a bug where the tag in bios was not respected. Sorry about that.

Yes, it is an opt-out service, because Mastodon makes accounts indexable by default. But the service goes further by also checking bios and profile fields for or tags or words. Locked accounts are also excluded.

What's the difference in behavior with what Holos was doing in February ?
From what I understand here it is an opt-out service (I have to at least set my account on follow request, set a # in bio)

Yes, that's how it works for now. For those accounts, I plan to add a clear opt-in that doesn't rely on the indexable flag.
