@gabboman OK, I opened up a new ticket for it:https://codeberg.org/wafrn/wafrn/issues/847I'll update the matrix. Thanks for the info!

@soapdog @mjr @sorenpeter well first you could sort them by whether they are mastodon or not based on a what their nodeinfo says and if they are mastodon then the path is all the same /@username.rss Maybe thats not easier tho?

@mario@hub.somaton.com @silverpill@mitra.social yeah, I get that if a top level proof is present, then the signature can be avoided. I just meant in the absence of a proof and signature, it's just noise.

@evan > sorry to disappoint youNot at all. I'm no fan of friendly fire, and pleased to learn I was wrong on that score : )@mallory

Unfortunately, most laws are either worded so vaguely that it's up to the regulator's discreation (the Online Services Act in the UK for example) or explicitly apply to sites of all sizes and maybe have some handwaving language along the lines of requiring networks to deploy age verification methods that are "commercially reasonable".It's certainly not a good situation, and anxiety is very warranted, but I don't think we're necessarily doomed. In the short term, VPNs are a thing and can buy us some time (although as we're seeing in the UK, age-limiting VPNs is the next step). What I do think is that we have to mobilize to fight these kinds of bad internet bills more effectively. Here's a thread with some initial thoughts and a request for other suggestions - https://neuromatch.social/@jdp23/116967043175194824@joergi @_elena

@toddsundsted@epiktistes.com absolutely. In fact, the app that made the AP news rounds a couple months ago was Holos, an AP client on your phone that connected to a server elsewhere. That's the ideal use case for C2S, but alas they didn't go that route. I'm hoping to look into using it to enable cross-instance activities. Think "liking and replying" using your Mastodon account while browsing a WordPress site.

@fuckfetish thought exactly the same some time ago. Talking about adoption is in the end adhering to the same metrics some people escaped from. We as a community should just focus on things that make us feel better.
